In the design of the front part of the interior Golf Variant does not differ from the standard Golf. Instead of the classic dashboard – 10.25-inch display, in advanced versions in the center is a 10-inch touchscreen multimedia display, designed with the “dashboard” in a single unit (in the basic equipment – 8.25-inch). Buttons on the steering wheel, as well as sliders of the climate system, located under the display – touch. In the versions with “robot” the more usual gearbox with a knob to select modes is replaced by a joystick.

The Discover Media multimedia system can be controlled by voice and eSim provides real-time system updates. The Car2X function in European versions of the model allows cars to automatically exchange information about the traffic situation on the roads. And the WeConnect software provides the ability to control some of the car’s functions using a smartphone.
