2023 Volkswagen Tiguan is a front-wheel drive compact crossover with three rows of seats, a representative of the second generation. After the update, the car impresses with its clear lines and dynamic exterior. Thanks to a high level of comfort and a wide spectrum of systems, the car is popular among those who prefer SUVs.

The car has a characteristic European style, elegant design and easy handling. The engine of the updated car differs not only in performance, but also significant economy.

The crossover is presented in the following configurations: S, SE, SEL R-Line and SE R-Line Black (19-inch wheel design).

The cost of the basic version starts at 28,245 US dollars.

2023 Volkswagen Tiguan Specifications

The updated Volkswagen Tiguan received a 4-cylinder in-line turbocharged engine which produces up to 184 horsepower. The manufacturer provided front-wheel drive. Optionally, the crossover can be equipped with 4 Motion all-wheel drive.

The engine runs smoothly and energetically thanks to the combination with a 7-speed robotic automatic transmission. In driving, the car, despite its rather restrained characteristics, does not cease to impress with its maneuverability and sportiness.

The SUV accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds. Average fuel consumption for the combined cycle is 7.3 liters per 100 km.

The braking system consists of rear disc and front disc ventilated brakes. The 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan has kept its wheelbase – 2684 mm. The basis for the crossover was the MQB EVO platform.

The two are represented by MacPherson struts at the front and multi-lever at the rear.

Exterior

The appearance of the updated crossover impresses with its progressive design, which is combined with the dynamic lines of the front part. wings and massive wheel arches attract attention. improved LED matrix headlights add aggressiveness to the appearance.

The geometry of the main light is harmoniously combined with the chrome horizontal lines of the radiator grille. LED lights with a bright architecture are placed at the stern. Part of the rear lights moved to the door of the luggage compartment.

Interior

Despite its compactness, the cabin is quite comfortable for the driver and passengers. The architecture of the car provides high-class visibility and boarding and alighting.

The interior of the crossover is restrained, but at the same time it does not lose practicality and functionality. It is worth noting that the Volkswagen Tiguan can have up to 7 seats. A woven interior is provided for the basic configuration. The front seats have an electric drive to change the position.

For the top configuration, a leather interior, a panoramic sunroof, and a full electric drive for the seats in the front row are available. If the third row of seats is installed, the luggage compartment simply disappears.

The multimedia system is represented by an 8-inch digital screen for the basic version. The top configuration gets a 10.3-inch display for the infotainment system. Multimedia is integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. Even for the standard interior, a Wi-Fi access point is provided. The Fender sound system for the improved version of the crossover is represented by 9 speakers.

Safety systems

The safety of the driver and passengers is ensured thanks to a wide range of functions. Useful options and driver assistants include frontal collision prevention with automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and pedestrian detection.

For a separate fee, the car can be equipped with the option of lane monitoring, adaptive cruise control with lane centering.
