Predictive speed limiter unavailable

• A message says the predictive speed limiter is currently unavailable or not available in your country.

• Extra details about the fault may appear in the vehicle status of the Digital Instrument Cluster (Pro).

Connecting a phone via App-Connect

• Connect the phone through the App-Connect main menu of the Infotainment system.
• App-Connect Wireless: pairing starts over Bluetooth®, then the data link runs over the Infotainment Wi-Fi® hotspot.
• Only one phone at a time. While App-Connect is active, no other phone can be used for calls via the Bluetooth interface.
• Apple CarPlay: the Bluetooth link is dropped once the Wi-Fi hotspot connection is up.
• Android Auto: the Bluetooth link stays active.

LED exterior lighting

• All exterior lights use LED technology. The LEDs are not owner-replaceable.
• If one LED fails, others may be close to failing. Have the light units inspected and replaced by a qualified workshop. Volkswagen recommends an authorised Volkswagen repairer.
• Driving with defective exterior lights may be illegal.

Warning. Lighting not matched to weather conditions leaves the road poorly lit and makes the vehicle hard or impossible for others to see. This can cause accidents and serious or fatal injury. Check the lighting system regularly and repair faults immediately.

Key Dimensions (Long Version – SEL R-Line)

It is important to note the regional variations: in Europe, the Tiguan predominantly uses the 7-speed DSG transmission and offers 1.5 eTSI (mild-hybrid) and 2.0 TDI (diesel) engine options, as well as powerful eHybrid (plug-in) versions with up to 100 km of electric range. However, these electrified options are not initially planned for the American or Brazilian market in the SEL R-Line version, which remains purely combustion.

In consumption, the clear reference is the 1.5 TSI: the homologated consumption is around 6.5 l/100 km, while in real use it is usually close to 7.5 l/100 km, with variations according to load and type of route. The PHEV version declares a usable electric range on the WLTP cycle that allows occasional urban journeys to be covered without consuming petrol. Its battery and range make it possible to significantly lower daily expenditure if it is recharged frequently.

The new Volkswagen Tiguan arrives with the well-known 1.4 TSI engine, which delivers 150 hp and 250 Nm of torque. It works in conjunction with a seven-speed DSG automatic gearbox and front-wheel drive.

That figure weighs on the analysis because the previous Tiguan arrived in the country with a configuration for seven passengers, a 2.0 engine with 220 hp and all-wheel drive. This new generation, at least for now, is offered with five seats, less power and without all-wheel drive.
