2019 VW Jetta R-Line Owner's Manual

2019 VW Jetta R-Line is a compact 5-door sedan, a representative of the seventh generation, based on the MQB platform. The car now has many features in common with the Golf, such as steering, suspension, safety systems, and multimedia.

Jetta R-Line impresses with its sporty character, modern equipment and confident ride.
Among the advantages are the comfort of driving, interior space, and a premium audio system. The controls are a bit distracting. The abundance of plastic in the
trim is identified as a disadvantage of the model.

Trim Levels

The car is available in several trim levels:
– S;
– SE;
– R-Line;
– SEL;
– SEL Premium.

The price of the R-Line model is 24,185 US dollars.

Exterior and interior design

The updated car has grown in size, received a longer wheelbase and shorter overhangs. The exterior attracts attention with clear, embossed lines, a massive radiator grille with a chrome frame. Chrome exhaust pipes stand out at the stern. The model also features LED headlights, 17-inch wheels, and LED taillights.

The interior of the cabin has become more modern and sporty. A 6.5-inch multimedia screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity is already provided as standard. A metal rail on the dashboard adds aggressiveness and originality to the model. Depending on the configuration, the screen format can increase up to 8 inches. There is a digital instrument cluster in the center panel.

The premium equipment includes two-zone climate control and heated seats. The seats are upholstered in two colors of leatherette.

2019 VW Jetta R-Line Technical specifications

The 2019 VW Jetta R-Line, like other models, is equipped with a revved-up 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. The power unit produces 147 horsepower and 249 Nm of torque.
The R-Line trim received an 8-speed automatic transmission, which is standard for other trims except S. The car accelerates to 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds.
The front suspension is represented by McPherson struts, the rear by a torsion beam.

Several driving modes are available for the car: Sport, Eco, Normal, Custom.
The braking system is represented by disc rear brakes and ventilated disc front brakes.

Safety systems include frontal collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic detection and warning, a rearview camera, and cruise control with automatic braking.

The car is also equipped with a standard set of airbags. Side airbags, curtain airbags, seat belts.
