2022 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport is an updated all-wheel drive 5-door mid-size SUV with massive shapes and a dynamic design.

The car received a massive radiator grille with horizontal chrome overlays. LED lights attract attention with their modern geometry. Daytime running lights are also standard in the configuration. The lower front bumper with massive elements emphasizes the dynamics and power of the crossover. Although compared to its predecessor, the air intake has slightly decreased in parameters.

Thanks to the changes, the car received clear body lines. You can recognize Atlas Cross Sport 2023 thanks to the updated design of headlights and wheel rims.

2022 VW Atlas Cross Sport Specifications

18-inch wheels are provided for the base model. Optionally, you can choose 20- and 21-inch wheels, which differ not only in size, but also in design.

Under the hood of the base model is a 4-cylinder in-line 2-liter engine that produces 235 horsepower. The more powerful model received a V-shaped 6-cylinder power unit with a working volume of 3.6 liters and a capacity of 276 hp.

Both power units can get both front and all-wheel drive as an option.

Interior

For the top configuration, a 10-inch display is available, which allows the driver to quickly receive clear information about the vehicle and its driving characteristics.

The cabin is equipped with a heating and ventilation system for the front seats.

The interior changes due to the presence of a panoramic roof. Thanks to the open space in the cabin, natural light is always available and visibility increases.

Inside, the car has a lot in common with its predecessor, the Volkswagen Atlas 2021. The main difference was the updated steering wheel and seams on the door panels. The spacious interior allows adult passengers to feel comfortable in any place. The second row of seats is represented by a sofa.

The multimedia system integrates with a smartphone thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All models, regardless of configuration, received an updated display with a diagonal of 6.5 inches or 8 inches for the improved version. Navigation and Sirius XM satellite radio are optional.

The VW Car-Net system is available for remote start-up and car condition analysis. Internet access is provided by a Wi-Fi access point.

The volume of the luggage compartment reaches 611 liters when the seats of the second row are not folded.

Safety systems

The updated crossover is equipped with the necessary safety features. There is an option for monitoring blind spots with a warning about the presence of cross traffic behind the car. Safety systems include a pedestrian detection option in combination with emergency automatic braking, a frontal collision prevention function. In addition, the user can get other functions for a separate fee.
