The 2023 Volkswagen ID.3 is a compact C-Class hatchback with rear-wheel drive and a D-Class wheelbase, priced at $47,800. Externally, it is a typical hatchback, similar to the Volkswagen Golf, but the similarity is only superficial. For ID.3, a completely different platform was used – MEV. It was originally created for an electric drive and a flat battery.

The massive front panel also subconsciously gives a feeling of spaciousness. Ergonomics are excellent, as are the case throughout the Volkswagen range.

The driver’s seat has a wide range of adjustment, adding good load distribution and sufficient lateral support.

Touch controls have been added to the steering wheel; in appearance, it resembles the steering wheel of the Touareg. The main place on the dashboard is occupied by a 10-inch touch screen. There are 2 displays in total: a touchscreen on the central part of the panel and a regular one in front of the driver.

So the interior is quite good, there is enough space and light. The front panel is made of soft, high-quality plastic and goes under the windshield. The predominant color in the interior design is light gray. There are also a lot of additional LED lights: at the base of the glass, on the dashboard, near the door handles. Some lighting elements have a purely decorative function, while others have practical significance. For example, they confirm this or that action: starting the engine, etc.

The car received a classic rectangular trunk with a volume of 385 liters. There are additional hooks and a small niche under the floor.

Let us note such design elements as silver trim on the mirrors and roof arches, large rims and other stylish little details that give the car its own special corporate style.

The electric car also has such technological elements as three-zone cruise control, wireless charging, keyless engine start, 2 USB ports for rear seat passengers, various niches for small items, etc.
