2018 Volkswagen Atlas Owner's Manual
The crossover is powered by the same gasoline engines that are available for the Atlas. This is either a turbocharged 2.0-liter TSI, producing 238 hp and 350 Nm, or the atmospheric 3.6 (in VR6 configuration) with 280 hp and 361 Nm. Through the classical eight-speed “automatic” the power is transmitted only on the front wheels, or – with a 4Motion system (multi-disc clutch) – on both axles.
Already in the basic version S the car is equipped with an automatic emergency braking system, blind spot monitoring system, as well as a warning of approaching cars when reversing. In more advanced versions is also available adaptive cruise control, which is now equipped with a system of assistance in traffic jams (if the stop was less than three seconds, the crossover will start moving independently, otherwise the driver just need to press the accelerator pedal or the appropriate button on the steering wheel). And with the help of a system of Car-Net and proprietary application you can remotely check the current status of the car, start / stop the engine, turn on the light and buzzer, and open and close the doors.
The list of equipment includes 21-inch wheels, full LED lights, digital dashboard and 8-inch touchscreen multimedia system, heated steering wheel and rear seats, heated and ventilated front seats with electric adjustment, rear window curtains, as well as Fender audio system (12 speakers).
