Distinguish the most “charged” version of the VW Golf 7 GTI hatchback can be seen in the front bumper with a huge air intake area and a black decorative element, a rear bumper with a black diffuser and four exhaust pipes (optional – made by Akrapovic), pads on the sills, as well as 18-inch wheels with a special pattern. 19-inch wheels and a rather massive spoiler are also available as an option.

Inside it is difficult to find global differences from the maximally completed Golf, and stand out in Golf R only sports front seats with integrated headrests and electric adjustments and the button “R” on the steering wheel, intended for direct access to the choice of driving modes. The menu of the display of the dashboard (with separate tabs, responsible for productivity) and the touchscreen display of the multimedia system are specially traced for the R version.
