2023 Volkswagen Taos is a five-door compact crossover that has received an updated appearance. The car is presented at a price starting at $24,000. The model is presented in three configurations: basic S, SE and top SEL.
Among the advantages of the updated model is a modern design, a sufficiently spacious interior and trunk, and full equipment with technological options.
The SUV competes with Chevrolet Traiblazwe, Hyundai Kona, Mazda CX-30.
As a result of the facelift, the SUV received an updated model of the main optics. The changes also affected the radiator grill, which has massive segments. The increased air intake located in the front bumper adds a sporty character. The bumpers are colored in the color of the body.
The graphics of the lanterns have been slightly improved. LED headlights and rails are provided as standard equipment. Additionally, you can get matrix main optics. A model with a panoramic roof is optionally available.
2023 Volkswagen Taos Specifications
Under the hood of the updated crossover is a 4-cylinder in-line turbocharged engine with a working volume of 1.5 liters. The power unit is capable of producing 158 horsepower. Engine torque is 249 N*m.
The 2023 Volkswagen Taos is available with front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive. The front-wheel drive crossover is equipped with an 8-range gearbox. For the all-wheel drive model, an automatic seven-speed dual-clutch DSG is provided.
Depending on the configuration, the suspension varies. For front-wheel drive cars, the manufacturer used a torsion beam. The SUV with all-wheel drive is equipped with a multi-lever suspension structure.
The line of wheels includes several sizes: with a radius of 17 inches for the standard version, and 18 and 19 inches for improved configurations.
Automatic emergency braking and blind spot monitoring are already available as standard equipment.
The improved SE and SEL trim offer:

Interior
The interior of the car does not have bright accents and generally uses traditional materials and design for the German manufacturer.
The fabric of two colors is combined on the seats. Artificial or genuine leather is offered for top equipment. The driver’s seat has a comfortable 8-range adjustment and an electric drive. The interior has adjustable lighting. Additional options include a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front row seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
The volume of the luggage compartment of 792 liters accommodates all the necessary luggage for trips. If necessary, the volume can be doubled by folding the back row of seats.
Despite the restrained design and equipment, a 6.5-inch touchscreen multimedia system is installed on the front console for the standard version. For an improved configuration, an 8-inch display is optionally available. Technological content includes a Wi-Fi access point, SiriusXM radio, Beats Audio stereo system, which consists of 8 speakers, and a wireless charging pad for smartphones.
Comfort and safety systems
Comfort for the driver and passengers is provided by the air conditioning system, climate control, keyless access, heated mirrors, parking assistant.
The car is equipped with a set of systems and options that protect against possible dangerous situations: blind spot monitoring, optional adaptive cruise control, frontal collision prevention. Control of the row of motion and stabilization of the steering are provided. Airbags and child seat fasteners are a mandatory component of safety systems.
