2025 Volkswagen Golf Owner's Manual

Volkswagen Golf is a front- or all-wheel drive hatchback of the βCβ segment. This is the facelifted version of the modelβs eighth generation. The car was officially unveiled on January 24, 2024.
The 2025 Volkswagen Golf is a legendary hatchback that has been setting new standards in its segment for half a century. In 2024, Volkswagen introduced an updated Golf featuring a new design, new technologies, and new engines.
The updated Golf immediately draws attention with its modernized exterior. The front of the car features new LED headlights, which can be equipped with IQ.LIGHT matrix technology, providing optimal road illumination in all conditions. A new illuminated Volkswagen logo has been added to the front grille, giving the car a more premium appearance. The rear end has also changed: it now includes new 3D LED taillights connected by a light strip and a new bumper with a diffuser. Additionally, the Golf is available in new body colors and with newly designed wheels of various sizes.
2025 Volkswagen Golf also impresses with its interior, which has become more modern and ergonomic. The cabin is equipped with the new MIB4 infotainment system, which includes a large touchscreen display measuring either 10.4 or 12.9 inches, depending on the configuration. The system supports wireless smartphone connectivity, voice control, and online services. One of the new features is ChatGPT integration, allowing users to ask the IDA voice assistant questions on any topic, from weather to politics. The interior also includes a digital instrument panel that can display various vehicle and navigation information. Furthermore, the Golf features a new multifunction steering wheel, climate control, heated and ventilated seats, and ambient lighting with 30 selectable colors.
During the pre-sale phase, the Golf will be offered in several versions: the standard Golf, the Life variant with basic equipment, and the top-tier Style version. The classic five-door Golf will also be released in an exclusive Edition 50 variant. Overall, four engine options will be available: two TSI petrol engines with turbocharging, producing 85 kW (116 hp) and 110 kW (150 hp), and two mild-hybrid petrol engines (eTSI) with 48V turbocharging and a 7-speed DSG gearbox, also rated at 85 kW (116 hp) and 110 kW (150 hp).
All four engines are modern four-cylinder units with VTG turbochargers and the ACTplus cylinder management system. Additional engine and drivetrain configurations will be introduced later.
