Volkswagen Touareg (Volkswagen Touareg) – all-wheel drive SUV class “K3”. The third generation of the model. The official presentation of the car took place on March 23, 2018 in Beijing.

The third generation of VW Touareg has grown in dimensions – now it is 4878 mm length (+77 mm) and 1984 mm height. At the same time the height slightly decreased – minus 7 mm (1702 mm). Due to this the car’s silhouette became more dynamic and the trunk space under the shelf is increased by 113 liters – now it is 810 liters. Herewith due to the use of MLB platform (Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga are also built on) the engineers managed to reduce the weight of the car by 106 kg – the body consists of 48% aluminum and 52% of high-tech steel.

Externally, the car is distinguished by a huge grille, visually united in a single whole with LED headlights, as well as executed in the same style air intake area on the front bumper. “Profile” is distinguished by the separated “windows” of the front windows, as well as the rear-view mirrors taken out on the legs. “The stern” of the crossover is a triumph of convex forms of the rear arches, as the latter organically pass into the rear lights, visually divided into three sections by diode drawings. And, of course, the crossover boasts two trapezoidal exhaust pipes.
