2020 Volkswagen ID.4 Owner's Manual
Inside the crossover is very much the same as the hatchback ID.3: the same three-spoke steering wheel with touch buttons, the main display (10 or 12 inches, depending on the configuration) is also turned to the driver, instead of the selector of driving modes – a similar rotary knob on the right of the digital dashboard.
There is nothing on the central tunnel, unlike the majority of modern cars, except for cupholders and long closable niche. The atmosphere in the cabin is created by ambient lighting and a huge panoramic roof section (optional). Another feature of the ID.4 interior is a diode strip under the windshield, which changes color and flicker frequency depending on navigation instructions or electronic assistant warnings.
The rear row is equipped with an armrest, air vents and – optionally – its own “climate zone”. The backrests of the rear row are folded in the ratio of 60:40, there is a hatch to transport long objects. When fully folded, an even platform is created. The compartment itself (behind the backs of the rear row) has 543 liters, and the folded back row can increase the useful volume to 1575 liters.
The list of available equipment for electric car includes Travel Assist, blind spot monitoring system, parking sensors in front and behind, and all-around cameras. You can also get 21-inch wheels, adaptive shock absorbers DCC, projection display with augmented reality function, front seats with electric adjustments and heating, multimedia system with voice control and support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and wireless charging for smartphone.
