At the top of the line is the Tiguan R, the first time in the history of the model separated from the other versions. It features an even more aggressive bodykit and spoiler, 21-inch wheels, sporty chassis settings, increased performance brakes; the interior features seats with integrated headrests.

Under the hood of this version – 2.0-liter TSI, producing 320 hp and 420 Nm of torque, which works in conjunction with a seven-speed “robot” DSG. The more advanced R-Performance Torque Vectoring four-wheel drive system distributes torque not only between the front and rear axles, but also between the left and right wheels of the rear axle. The Akrapovic exhaust system can be installed at extra cost.
