In the European market the 2013 Volkswagen Transporter is offered with one single engine 2.0 TDI (EA288) with 90, 110, 150 and 199 hp. The first two variations are equipped with a 5-speed manual, 6-MCP and optional 7-speed “robot”, which is actually the base for the 199-hp version. All cars are available with front-wheel drive and only the most powerful modifications can boast a clutch to connect the rear axle (at extra charge).
