For the first time in 2019, Volkswagen is releasing a production electric car, the ID.3. It was presented in Frankfurt. It is built on the MEB platform, which is the basis for future electric cars. The car is in the compact class segment.
The battery is located in the floor of the vehicle. The capacity depends on the configuration of the model. And it has from 45 to 77 kWh. 94% goes to the drive. ID.3 has a powerful engine of 150 horsepower, with rear-wheel drive. It accelerates up to 160 km/h. Already in the basic package the car will have a voice assistant, modern navigation system, cruise control. The S configuration will include a panoramic roof. Switching to different headlight modes is automatic. The quality of the car is evidenced by the fact that the first batch, in the amount of 30 thousand was bought on prepayment. The cost – affordable, given the latest methods in its development. There is no excessive pretentiousness in the design.
