Polo GTI has received a front bumper with increased air intake and diamond-shaped decorations, which are familiar from Golf VIII (however, luminous elements are only two, not five, as in the “senior” hatchback). Standard for the car from now on is the matrix headlights IQ.Light, “cutting out” oncoming and passing traffic. Headlights are united by a diode bridge.

Inside, the restyling is noticeable primarily in the steering wheel, now equipped with an upgraded Volkswagen brand logo along with touch-sensitive buttons, as well as a completely redesigned “climate” for sensors. Standard equipment for the Polo GTI is a 10.25-inch customizable dashboard cluster and an eight-inch touchscreen display of the MIB3.1-based multimedia system (with integrated eSIM, which allows for online services). For an additional fee you can get a more advanced version of the multimedia with a 9.2-inch display.
